Frequently Asked Questions

Does a positive screening mean my child has autism?

No. Screening identifies children who may benefit from a comprehensive assessment. It is not a diagnosis.

Developmental screening is recommended for all children during routine pediatric care, with autism-specific screening typically recommended around 18 and 24 months. However, screening may also be appropriate at older ages whenever developmental concerns arise.
